Glutathione

lutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide — a molecule made of three amino acids — naturally synthesised by the liver and present in virtually every cell of the human body. It is often called the “Master Antioxidant” because it not only neutralises free radicals directly but also regenerates other antioxidants like Vitamin C and Vitamin E, amplifying their protective effect across the entire body.

In skin health, glutathione works by inhibiting tyrosinase — the key enzyme responsible for melanin production. When tyrosinase is suppressed, the skin shifts from producing dark eumelanin to lighter pheomelanin, resulting in a gradual brightening and evening of skin tone. Beyond pigmentation, it actively fights oxidative stress caused by UV radiation, pollution, and ageing — making it a comprehensive skin health solution, not just a lightening agent.

How is it administered?

IV Drip / Injection

Delivered directly into the bloodstream. 100% bioavailability. Fastest results. Administered by a doctor only.

Even skin tone

Fades dark patches, sun spots, post-acne marks, and uneven pigmentation — especially on sun-exposed skin areas.

Melasma management

Works as an anti-melanogenic agent to reduce the appearance of stubborn melasma patches that resist topical creams alone.

Powerful antioxidant protection

Neutralises free radicals from UV, pollution, and stress that cause premature ageing, dullness, and cellular damage.

Key benefits

Skin brightening & glow

Reduces melanin overproduction to deliver a visibly brighter, more radiant and luminous complexion over consistent use.

Oral Supplements

Capsules or sublingual tablets. Lower absorption than IV but well-studied, with clinically proven results at 250–500mg/da

Topical Creams / Serums

Applied directly to skin. Works locally on targeted dark spots and pigmentation. Best combined with oral form.

Anti-ageing effect

Protects skin cells from oxidative damage to reduce the progression of fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.

Deep detoxification

Acts as the body's primary detox agent — eliminating heavy metals, environmental toxins, and cellular waste for healthier skin from within.

Anti-inflammatory

Calms chronic skin inflammation linked to acne, hyperpigmentation, and uneven tone — supporting clearer, calmer skin.

Boosts other antioxidants

Recycles and regenerates Vitamin C and Vitamin E in the body, creating a multiplier effect on overall skin health and radiance.

Step-by-step Procedure

Medical consultation

A thorough pre-treatment consultation with a dermatologist to review your skin goals, medical history, current medications, and suitability for the chosen route of administration.

Pre-treatment preparation

Pre-treatment assessment Skin tone analysis and baseline documentation to track progress across sessions. Lab tests may be recommended for IV therapy.

Dosage customisation

The specialist determines the correct form and dosage based on your body weight, skin type, and concern. Standard IV dosage ranges from 10–20 mg per kg of body weight.

Administration

For IV: glutathione is infused directly into the bloodstream via a sterile IV line over 30–60 minutes. For oral: capsules or sublingual tablets are prescribed for daily home use. For topical: serums or creams are applied twice daily.

Post-session monitoring

After an IV session, you rest briefly while the specialist monitors for any immediate reactions. Most patients are ready to leave within 15–20 minutes post-drip.

Maintenance plan

Your doctor prescribes an ongoing maintenance schedule — typically weekly IV sessions initially, tapering to monthly — along with oral supplements to sustain results.
