01What it is
Brightening Peels at Sikara utilize high-purity lactic and mandelic alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to gently dissolve uneven surface pigmentation and dull, dead skin cells. Lactic acid offers deep epidermal hydration while mandelic acid’s larger molecular size ensures slow, uniform skin penetration with minimal risk of irritation or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
It is ideal for sun tan, superficial post-acne marks, dull complexions, and overall tone correction. Dermatologist-led selection ensures acid concentration and contact time are calibrated precisely for your skin type and sensitivity.
02A session, step by step
Skin analysis and degreasing
Your dermatologist evaluates your barrier health, thoroughly cleanses the skin, and degreases surface oils for even peel absorption.
Precision peel application
Lactic or mandelic acid gel is applied evenly across target zones, working gently for a strictly timed 3 to 7 minute window.
Neutralization and calming
The peel solution is completely neutralized with cool water or an alkaline wash, halting active acid action instantly.
Hydrate and protect
A soothing, barrier-repair moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF 50+ are applied to protect newly refreshed skin.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure. Pause retinoids, AHA/BHA exfoliants, and physical scrubs for 5 days post-peel. Allow any mild micro-flaking to slough off naturally; do not pick or scrub skin. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and heavy workouts for 48 hours. Keep skin hydrated with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer.
