01What it is

Hair Transplant surgery at Sikara relocates healthy, permanent hair follicles from a donor zone (typically the back or sides of the scalp) into areas affected by thinning or recession. Donor follicles retain their natural genetic resistance to hair loss, ensuring transplanted hair continues to grow naturally over time.

Our dermatologists and hair restoration surgeons focus strictly on conservative hairline design and natural density mapping. The procedure is recommended only after a complete scalp assessment and trichoscopy to ensure donor adequacy and recipient health.

02A session, step by step

01

Scalp mapping and hairline design

Your surgeon evaluates donor density under magnification and draws a natural hairline tailored to your facial structure.

02

Local anesthesia and extraction

The donor site is numbed completely before healthy follicular units are harvested with precise micro-punches.

03

Recipient site creation

Micro-incisions are made in thinning zones at natural angle, depth, and direction to mimic organic hair growth.

04

Implantation and dressing

Individual grafts are carefully implanted into recipient sites, followed by a donor area dressing and post-care review.

03Aftercare

  • Keep the recipient area untouched and elevated while sleeping for the first 3 nights.
  • Spray the recipient zone with prescribed saline solution to keep grafts hydrated.
  • Wash the scalp gently starting from day 3 using our specific, low-pressure saline rinse protocol.
  • Do not scratch, pick, or rub minor crusts that form around transplanted grafts; let them fall off naturally.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, direct sunlight, headwear, and swimming for 14 days post-procedure.

Following the aftercare is part of the treatment. The outcome depends on it as much as on the sittings themselves.
