01What it is
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) delivers precise micro-thermal ultrasound energy deep into the skin's foundational layers—specifically targeting the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS) layer, which is typically addressed during a surgical facelift. By heating tissue to precise thermal coagulation points, HIFU triggers a robust neocollagenesis response without breaking the skin surface.
It is ideal for lifting sagging jawlines, defining facial contours, tightening loose neck skin, and lifting the brow. Dermatologist-led transducer depth selection ensures ultrasound energy is focused precisely at 1.5mm, 3.0mm, and 4.5mm depths tailored to your facial architecture.
02A session, step by step
Facial mapping and consultation
Your dermatologist evaluates skin laxity, maps treatment vectors across the jawline and mid-face, and marks safety zones.
Ultrasound gel application
A clear, conductive ultrasound gel is applied evenly across the treatment area to ensure smooth energy transmission.
Focused ultrasound delivery
The HIFU handpiece delivers precise micro-focused ultrasound pulses into deep structural layers, creating a warm sensation beneath the skin.
Soothe and review
Gel is removed, and a soothing moisturizer along with broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is applied, followed by post-care guidance.
03Aftercare
- Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily to protect your skin.
- Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, steam rooms, and intense thermal workouts for 48 hours.
- Keep skin hydrated using a gentle moisturizer and a mild cleanser.
- Avoid active retinoids or chemical exfoliants for 3 days post-treatment.
- Allow natural collagen remodeling to progress; visible tightening builds gradually over 8 to 12 weeks.
Following the aftercare is part of the treatment. The outcome depends on it as much as on the sittings themselves.
