01What it is

Mono Threads (smooth PDO threads) are fine, non-barbed absorbable threads placed in a mesh-like grid pattern beneath the dermis to create a dense structural scaffolding. Unlike lifting cogs, mono threads do not mechanically pull tissue; instead, their primary function is bio-stimulation—triggering a controlled healing response that floods the area with fresh collagen and elastin fibers.

It is ideal for crepey skin texture, fine lines around the mouth and eyes, submental (neck) laxity, and early cheek or jawline softening. Dermatologist-led placement ensures precise dermal integration to firm and thicken skin from within.

02A session, step by step

01

Dermal assessment and mapping

Your dermatologist maps out the structural grid lines across areas needing collagen support and applies topical numbing cream.

02

Cleansing and sterilization

Numbing cream is removed and the treatment zone is thoroughly disinfected for maximum clinical safety.

03

Scaffolding insertion

Smooth mono threads are gently placed beneath the skin via fine needle micro-guides, leaving the threads anchored as the guides are removed.

04

Calming and aftercare

Treated zones are lightly smoothed, and a soothing calming cream along with broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is applied.

03Aftercare

  • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily to protect your skin.
  • Avoid strenuous workouts, heavy physical exertion, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 to 72 hours.
  • Keep your head elevated and sleep on your back for the first few nights.
  • Avoid facial massages, scrubbing, or vigorous mechanical pressure on the treated zones for 2 weeks.
  • Avoid active retinoids and chemical exfoliants for 5 to 7 days post-treatment.

Following the aftercare is part of the treatment. The outcome depends on it as much as on the sittings themselves.
