01What it is

Laser tattoo removal at Sikara uses high-energy Q-Switched laser energy to target embedded ink particles without damaging the surrounding skin. The ultra-short laser pulses fragment complex ink pigment into minute particles that your body’s lymphatic system naturally clears over time.

It is ideal for amateur or professional tattoos, multi-colored designs, and partial fading for cover-up tattoos. Complete removal requires patience and strict adherence to session gaps, as ink clearance occurs progressively between visits

02A session, step by step

01

Map and numb

The tattoo area is evaluated for ink depth and color, followed by topical numbing cream to ensure patient comfort.

02

Laser fragmentation

Targeted laser pulses pass over the ink design, instantly shattering embedded pigment particles.

03

Cool and soothe

Ice packs and a soothing medical recovery ointment are applied immediately to calm localized heat and redness.

04

Protect and guide

A light protective dressing is applied, and post-care guidelines and next session timing are explained.

03Aftercare

  • Keep the treated area clean, dry, and lightly covered with prescribed recovery ointment for 48 hours.
  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel any minor scabbing or blistering that forms during healing.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and wear broad-spectrum SPF 50+ on exposed treatment areas.
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and heavy swimming for 5 days post-session.
  • Drink plenty of water to help your body's lymphatic system clear broken ink particles efficiently.

Following the aftercare is part of the treatment. The outcome depends on it as much as on the sittings themselves.
