Your dermatologist performs a thorough scalp examination — assessing hair loss pattern (Norwood scale for men, Ludwig scale for women), hair pull test, trichoscopy / videomicroscopy to evaluate vellus vs terminal hair ratio, scalp health, and underlying causes. Blood tests may be recommended to rule out nutritional deficiencies or thyroid/hormonal causes.
Scalp cleansing
The scalp is thoroughly cleansed to remove any styling products, oils, or debris. The treatment area is mapped and divided into injection zones for systematic and complete coverage of all thinning and affected areas.
Optional topical numbing
